Stylish two-bedroom, two bath home boasts a screened-in porch, side deck with a large, tropical yard. Plenty of space either inside or out whether you’re looking to relax or getting work done remotely. Centrally located in one of Sarasota’s original neighborhoods, the property is 10 minutes from downtown, 12 minutes to St. Armand’s Circle, 14 minutes from Lido Key Beach, 25 minutes from Siesta Key Beach and 20 minutes from the mall and shops at University Town Center
There is a lockbox for easy self-check-in when you arrive. My husband and I live and work in the same neighborhood, so we are only a phone call or text away.
The neighborhood of Bayou Oaks is one of the oldest in Sarasota, with some homes dating back to the early 1920s. Sarasota experienced it’s first “boom” at this time due largely to John Ringling making the young city his winter headquarters for the traveling Ringling Brother’s Circus. In fact, many of Bayou Oaks first homes were built by people working in the circus, some of which still exist. The neighborhood’s name stems from the many Live Oaks and Water Oaks that give the area a distinct natural feel. The location of the neighborhood means that the beaches and commercial centers of Sarasota are never far away. North Sarasota Water Tower Park, boasting an 18-hole disc golf course, paved walking paths and lighting at night, is only a short walk or two-minute drive away.
